   Winning films get shown at the film festival and receive an audience feedback video. Winning screenplays (short) get their work performed by professional actors and made into a video. All winners receive a trophy and an IMDB winner’s status.  Winner of the Feature film will receive cash award.

  Submissions for the 2021 Festival will open on April 2, 2021. Please be sure to read the most current versions of our Rules & Regulations before you begin the process. The deadline dates and submission fees for 2021 Festival consideration are listed on FilmFreeway. Please note that these are subject to change prior to April 16, 2021.

SUBMISSION CATEGORIES

  Fees from Festival submissions help us keep the process as rigorous and democratic as possible and to further support the independent creative community.  There will be submissions for 6 major Categories. There will also be sub-categories that can be added to a major category. All film submissions must have at least 3 out of the 6 major positions held by a female director, producer, lead actress, writer, editor, sound. MAJOR EXCEPTION: Film is directed by a female or the film's major plot and lead characters are female driven, then the submission is immediately valid. This means a male CAN submit,  as long as his film is directed by a female, has a female lead or has 3 of 6 major positions, as stated above.

SCREENING 

Each year, we will select a slate of feature films, short films, episodic films, and music videos to play at the red carpet screening. Before you begin your submission, please read carefully the eligibility requirements.
